I am searching for several different family ties. My Grandfather Christian Essig came from a area in the Ukrane, near Odessa, The german name for the village was rosenfeld. He came to the U.S. in the 1890's to a railhead at Eureka S. D.
My grandfather on my mothers side came from England. He was
born at peat gates head, Low Row, Swaledale, Yorkshire England.
He also came to the U.S. in the 1890's.
My grandmother on my fathers side came from Germany in the 1890's. She was from a area near stuttgardt, called grosbutwar.
My grandmother on my mothers side name was Etta Faye Jeffers.
She was born in Moltrie county Ill. Her fathers name was Riley Jeffers. We do not have any other information on Riley except
we beleive they were in Kentucky. We beleive they may have been of the dunkard faith and originated in Pennsylvania.
