About Our Family Research


John S. and Ann Lloyd Jones were married in the Parish Church, Parish of Llanynys in the County of Denbigh (Denbyshire, Wales) on March 19, 1870. They immigrated to America in 1872 and first settled near Shenandoah,Pennsylvania, where John worked as a coal miner. In 1881 they moved to Wymore, Nebraska, where a Welsh settlement was being formed. They had eight children: Lizzie, Sarah, Maggie, John, Mary, Rob, Edythe and Lue.
