I am doing research on the subject families from my maternal grandmother's family. Haven't had much luck with the research on the Poteete families. There are quite a few links to the generation from my grandmother to the present but difficulty in researching where they came from, etc.

I know that many of our ancestors up to Poteete marrying my greatgrandmother were of Irish descent. I know that we came to the states as early as 1700's. I haven't had much luck finding out where in Ireland we came from.
