My grandfather lived in either Anniston Ala or Gadsden, Ala ...My father was named Melvin, He had a brother named Fred. The last I heard from my father was during the 2nd world war - he was in the army. My uncle Fred came by once (I was about 6). I belive my grandfather was named Robert - I do not know my grandmothers name ...

My father left home when I was 1 year old - so I know very little about him ...He wrote very few times while he was in the Army, sent some war bonds to me
and sent a few pictures ...He would have been about twenty years old in 1935 - the year I was born...
