We are looking for some information on Uriah Eure. He may have been born in the 1850's.He may have lived in Gates County N.C. He may have married in the Umphlett family. He was Daniel Eure's father. Daniel was the father of my dad, Delvin Eure. If anybody has any information on him, it would be very helpful. My sister, Mary Francis Eure Fisher has done some reseach, but cannot not fine any information on Uriah Eure. She lives in Charlottesville, Virginia. We are trying to help her with her reseach. Our family background is farming. We grow peanuts, corn, wheat, and soyabeans. My family raises Perdue Chickens, also. My son Robert,Jr and his wife are chicken growers. My son David and his wife live in Wake Forest, N.C. He is an assistant superintendant for the Professional Golf Association. We have a son named Peter Michael Eure. He is almost 17 years of age. He works on the farm, too. Robert has three children(two boys and a girl). David has two children(2 boys).
