David and Hannah Evans, South Wales, 1816-1885 Updated August 24, 2003
About Our Family Research
Following on from the enormous work of David and Liz Carree in tracing the Evans family tree, efforts are being directed to establish the means by which descendants can identify and relate to each other, and through which family history can be collected and preserved.
Within the last three years, two gatherings have taken place at the home of Dave and Liz in Llangenech where cousins were reacquainted or met for the first time. I was over from Australia and attended both occasions. It was a very special experience to link up with those who shared a personal history and heritage. It is an aim that such gatherings can be a regular event where relatives from all round the world can attend.
At present, we need to promulgate the family home page so that members can receive news and share information. In addition, contact details can be listed. Can you please ensure that your children, brothers and sisters are aware of the family home page. They too may wish to post their email address or share views.
The setting up of a significant format for the Evans descendants is in its embryonic phase. The mapping of the family tree is a significant beginning. Hopefully, the establishing of a web site will contribute to the process.
