Evans City,Butler County, Penna. From 1804 to 1836 the location was often called BOGGS` MILL, and in later years EVANSBURG. Thomas B. Evans laid out the city in 1838. In Oct. 1878 the railroad was completed to Evans City. Evans City became a borough in Sept.22,1882. Population of the town in 1880 was 68. IN 1890 it was 637. And in 1894 it was 1,000.
