The W.B. (Mark) Evans family in W. Tn. (origin Perry Co. Tn)

Updated March 28, 2007

About Our Family Research

Mark Evans was my Grandfather. His son Dempsey (Jack) Wayne Evans was my Dad. He passed away in 1964. Grandfather in 1974. I would like to know anything about the Evans' and any relatives. There are no more of this particular Evans family left for me to get much info. I know his mother and dad's names were George and Mary and they originally lived in Middle Tn. I think Perry Co. and were peanut farmers. Somehow they migrated to W. Tn. near Dyersburg area. Any one with any info would be greatly appreciated. I think there were 10 kids in the family. Some of the names were Ann, Doll, Ola, Mark , Jim , Alf and Bob (twins), Ethel, Jessie? and not sure of the other one. They have all passed. Mostly looking for the lineage of just this family not necessarily the lines of the others. Like to trace some of it back as far as I can. I would like to know the heritage of Evans'. I beleive I was told as a child, it is Irish. Possibly some Indian. And if so what tribe? Etc. Thank you for your time to read this. Thank you
