Our primary effort is researching the Emanuel and Elizabeth Evans family of Louisa County, VA, 1764 to 1807. Emanuel first appears in public records in 1764 in Louisa County as a witness for a deed by William and Mary Evans Thacker. The relationship, if any, between Mary Evans and Emanuel is unknown. There is evidence suggesting Elizabeth (b. 9/12/1756) was the daughter of William and Mary Evans Thacker. We have been unable to find any ancestors for Emanuel. They had five known children, Shelton, William Wilkerson, Hasting, Nancy, Tarlton, and possibly Obadiah and John.
In addition, we are researching the following surnames for John: Browder, Chowning, Clement, Coe, Crump, Deason, Edgemond, Evans, Haney, Harper, Henson, Hicks, King, Ledbetter, Mackey, Pace, Pegues, Savage, Stone, Thacker, Wade, Wigley; and the following surnames for Susan: Farley, Freeman, Herlock, Pancoast, Peel, Wall, Whiteside.

We would be please to share information with anyone who is also researching these surnames.
