I am trying to build on my family history, the names I'm researching are:
Evans, John & Mary Josephine - My paternal great-grandparents.They had three children; Joseph Patrick, John & Kathleen.
Evans, Joseph Patrick - My paternal grandfather. Born on April 28 in Leitrim, Ireland. Date of Death: October 26, 1948, in Calgary, Alberta. He served in the British Military until 1928. He spent some time in Birtle, Manitoba. He married Margaretha Bergen in Calgary, Alberta on September 16, 1933. (Margaretha later married Martin Neufeld).
Gabara, Peter Paul - my maternal grandfather. I only know that he and his family were farmers. My grandfather lived and worked around Calgary, Alberta, Canada most of his life.
Rakuson, Alois - my maternal grandmother's father (Born in Zruc,Czechoslovakia, 1880)Migrated to Canada in the early 1900's, near Winnipeg. He worked as an electrician in Winnipeg, Manitoba until 1920. He and his family returned to Czechoslovakia. He bought a farm in a small settlement, and didn't do too well. He returned to Canada after 6 years and began working for Langley Electric for 4 years, then was transferred to Calgary, Alberta, Canada.He had 2 daughters (Jean & Mildred,and one son(George).
Nespor, Emma - my maternal grandmother's mother(Born in Cejtice, Czechoslovakia in 1887). She migrated to Canada with a friend and worked as a maid for a Jewish family in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Emma & Alois were married in 1913 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
