About Our Family Research
Juluis Ewert originally came from Grandenz, West Prussia in 1874 and with his wife settled in Yankton, Dakota Territory. One of his children, Peter, was given 160 acres of farmland when he married Elizabeth Nachtigall in 1899. His livelyhood was raising farm animals and grains. He retired in 1931 and moved to Mitchell, SD.
