Well, I really don't know much about my family history other than what I have heard by word of mouth from my living ancestors. Having said that, they credit themselves on having fantastic memories. I've received a bit of information from my Dad, who has emailed some Eyleys who live in England and received in-depth replies from them. The rest, I've just gathered from speaking to my relatives. Though I do think that us Aussie Eyleys originate from Derbyshire; and that apparently we come from the same line as 'Eley': though it was the Eley side that decided to corrupt the spelling. As I learn more, I'll update regularly - I am yet to speak to my Grandfather who apparently knows a great deal about the McCann side of my family, having already researched it in the past.

But there is no doubt, with the research I have done, that the Eyleys and McCanns come from a long line of exceptional Astronomers.
