The Eyre family began in Derbsyshire, England, with Mary and John Eyre, parents of William Eyre and Harriet Haroben. Their son Frederick, born in Derbyshire, moved to Canada, married Mary Mitchell, and they eventually moved to Michigan, where son William was born. He married Katherine McCallum, born in Canada. Their son, Virgil Glen, married Heather Whyte, and had son Michael James Eyre.
Michael James married Maria Judith(Judy)Flores, and their son Kevin Jon branch of the family resides in the state of Washington.
The maternal side of the family, Whyte, began in Monies Brith, Scotland, with Archibald Whyte and Mary Beatrice Griffiths.
