About Our Family Research

My maternal grandfather Joseph Sammarco migrated in 1910 to Brooklyn from Naples,Italy. He was born in Tarsia. He was naturalized in 1915. The name Sammarco comes from the name San Marco, which means St. Mark. There are 4 San Marco's in Italy-two in Campania, one in Calabria in one in Puglia.

My maternal great-grandparents were Camillo Falconi and Maria Vetere. Camillo was born in March 10, 1863 in Casserta and migrated April 18, 1882 to Brooklyn

My paternal grandparents, Rinaldo V. Falcone and Julia Isidori came from Castellamare Adriatico, Pescara, Abruzzi in 1921 and settled in Brooklyn.
