My earliest ancestor still remains illusive. John FARMER born c1813 stated in the various cenus returns, his place of birth as Cotleigh, and Dunkeswell in Devon and of Taunton in Somerset. He married Elizabeth FOXWELL of Otterford, and they lived in the parish of Pitminster, just south of Taunton. Their son William, born 13 December 1863 was my great great grandfather. He married Mary Ann, and resided in the Thornfalcon, and later, according to the 1901 census, Wellington in Somerset before my grandfather was born in the West Buckland area of Somerset.

My other surname interest is LATHERON. This was my mother's maiden name. My mother was placed in a childrens home until shortly after the Second World War, and information on this side of the family is still being researched, although my mother and her twin sister have been reunited with their brother and sister they had not known about for a period of 60 years.
