The Fasterlings & Greenfields of Louisiana

Updated July 4, 2009

About Our Family Research

I have traced the Fasterling line to my great grandfather, Bernard Fasterling, who was born in 1831 in Bettrum,Germany and my great grandmother, Anna Maria Woelke, who was born in 1832 in Halle, Westphalia, Germany, and I have my wife's lineage through the Mayflower descendants. I am now trying to trace my wife's maternal grandmother's (Berta Woodyard nee Powell who died January 25, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio) line and my maternal grandmother's (Gertrude Kerr) line. Gertrude was a descendant of Lewis Ledyard Kerr and Isabelle MacPherson who were married March 9, 1811 at Christ Church, New Providence in the Bahamas. I have been unable to find out where they came from but all indications are from somewhere in England. Primary surnames I am interested in are: ASTIER, BONNABEL, BROCKENBRAUGH, BURAS, BUTLER, FASTERLING, GREENFIELD, GRIMES, HARMON, HATHAWAY, HOOPER, JACKMAN, KERR, MARCEY, McCARTHY, McPHERSON, POWELL, STURM, WOELKE and WOODYARD
