Our Family so far goes back to about 1768 I have found a new generation John Mcdonalds parents who are Charles mcdonald and Helen Kerr. John was one of four Children They were Charles, Alexandra, William, and John. John Later married Margaret Paton They were both born in The Year 1788 They were Married in 1809 in aberdeen Scotland They then had 12 children between 1810 and 1833 They were Margaret, Thomas, ann, Donald, Elizabeth. Adam, Helen, John, Janet, Catherine, James Jean. Adam then married Janet( nee mc Donald) They then had six Children after their marriage in 1856 . William then Married
Elizabeth Adams in 1880. They then had four children between 1881 and 1888 . Henry Adolphus then Married Annie Adelaide nee zimmer If you are interested in any more information then please contact me through my email address . we would love to hear from the relation who researched the information so far. we believe it came from a relation in Australia
My Mothers side of the Family were Blacks On her grandfathers side and Drabbles on her grandmothers side.
Her grandfather was Charles barnes Black( his father) was Thomas Black who was born in Raphoe County Donegal Ireland in about 1848
His father was also Thomas Black. We dont have much info on this family.
My Grandmothers side were, Amelia Jane Laming also (Brocker) her father was Francis laming her mother was Elizabeth Alice Drabble.
Elizabeth Alices Father was Joseph Drabble and her mother was Jane maxwell daughter of Alexandra maxwell and her mother was Sarah scott.Joseph Drabbles father was also a Joseph and his mother was Catherine Roberts, they emmigrated to New Zealand in
1874 and went to Kaiapoi which is just out of Christchurch.
