| About Our Family Research |

I grew up listening to all of the family stories but I realized that the stories never really talked about most of the people who had already passed on. I wanted to know these people so I started my family quest in earnest a couple of years ago. I started by going to the cemetary were most of my ancestors are buried and wroted down names and dates for avery Fee that was there. I then asked my dad about who these people were and how they were related to each other and to me. After that I went to the library in the state historical museum. I went through the microfilms for the time period relating to one particular person until I found him or her mentioned. I was really surprised when I found the obituary for my great, great grandfather, Joseph Henry Fee on the front page of the "Knoxville Journal"! But I got sidetracked when I could not find any more information about him. I know he was born in Indiana on February 22nd, 1836 and died on October 8th, 1921. I also have the first name of his mother which was Susan. Joseph's father's name was Christopher. I have no other information about either one. I have two goals in my research: 1. to relate all of the names I have found and 2. find all of my direct ancestors back to when they immigrated.
