Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
I am a long-time researcher of the Pelley and Frad families. I have recently strarted to search for my ancesters from Wales, John and Mary Davies, whose daughter Jane is my great great Grandmother. She married David C Jones and immigrated to the US in 1846. Holes in my family tree include my Great Grandfather, Denis Reardon, immigrating from Ireland in 1830, who I know died in Iowa, but cannot find any record of it or his grave. The Pelley family, who migrated from Newfoundland, included Stephen, John, Joseph (my ancester), and George. Stephen and Joseph came to Iowa, while John settled in Illinois. George remained in Newfoundland. The frequent use of these common family names creates great confusion in my search for this side of the family. I am always glad to make contact with new family members and am willing to share information.
