I started my search back in High School as a class assignment. Wish I had gotten a lot more information from the elder family members. If only we were gifted with a better hind sight to see what we needed to ask and to save as records. Because of family problems this was not to be. After my marriage and with the children grown,I have started again. With the help of the computer age and the internet,I have made some progress. But not as much as I would like. Having a great deal of difficulty finding things on the Thompson / Quinn line back in Tennessee and back to Ireland.Really need to go to FHL and do some more lookups. Mary (cousin)in Kansas City, has been looking too. Got some information on the children of Patrick and Norah Quinn. But very little on them. The Yeager side has been the easist as the Germans kept very good records and Grandpa Carls family back in Germany were Burgomasters(Mayors. Just a few months before Uncle Freddie Joe died he helped me make contact with Grandpa Carls' brothers child and she sent me a lot of papers on the family. Had to get translations. As to the Workman etc, Fenton etc, lines I have a lot of information. Gathered from Aunt Kate and other contacts. Last fall thought maybe I had found the rock (tombstone of G.B.Thompson in Butler,Bates Co, Mo. Along with Elizabeth; but as the year of thought has taken place I wonder if it was the right G.B.T. Dates seem to match????? Need to do more research. My search is never ending. One of Joan Baez quotes that has become a motto for me is: "AS LONG AS ONE KEEPS SEARCHING,THE ANSWERS COME."
