Hello, I'm David Fessier who became interested in researching our family's roots during the mid-1990's. I heard a lot of stories as a youngster from my grandparents, my dad and his sisters about the lives and times of our ancestors "...on the ranch." These stories were always related at family picnics and gatherings of various sorts. Laughter was plentiful as various family members filled in the gaps others couldn't quite remember.I really didn't pay much attention to any of the details of these stories as a kid...now I wish I did. I recall how,"...old Nick used to hide the livestock from the Germans..." "Nick" was Nicholas Fessier who lived in, or about Alsace-Lorraine, France. He met and married Virginie Denis (Fessier)in Herberviller, Meurthe-Et-Moselle, France on November 11 1861.
