I've extensively researched the Sanford, Morelock, Waters, Bivans, Stewart, and Rider lines of my family with great success, but I have had very limited success on the Fields and Schober lines. My grandfather was Harold Alfred Gustav Schober Fields, born 7 Oct 1884 in New York City, Manhattan, New York, his mother was Anna Schober (Fields) born May 1862 in Germany, Austria, or possibly Spain and her mother's first name was Aurea (maiden name unknown), born in June 1820 in either Germany or Austria. The three have been verified in the 1900 Census as living in New York City (Both Anna and her mother are listed as widows). Anna has been verified as singing in the Metropolitan Opera in 1891 and appearing on Broadway in 1904 and 1906. No other records have yet been discovered of either her or her mother Aurea. Nothing exists regarding his father, not even a first name, only the fact that he died sometime between 1884 and 1900. Any help would be appreciated. (915) 203-5228
