I am researching my family. My father was a Texas Lewter and my mother a Barlow. Branching from there my fathers parents were a lewter and a Wright all from Texas. MOthers parents were a Barlow and a Holladay from Indiana, and Tennessee. So the surnames of my great grandparents were Lewter, Wright, Holladay,Barlow, Smith, Tolliver, Hyde and one unknown. the unknown great-grandmother was married to my great-grandfather John Henderson Wright. He remarried after this unknown lady died about 1904 or after to a Mary Dee (Delia) Gill. She was my step-great grandmother. I have yet to find out who was the biological mother of my grandmother and her brother and sister Muriel Wright and Emerson Wright. That great-grandmother is still large in my informational want list. So onward until I have documented every single ancestor in my family.
Update as of July 22, 2007. As of about 2 years ago I found that missing great grandmother mentioned above, the wife of John Hendersson Wright. Her name was Ada Baker. I have not yet found her parents as the only documentation I have of her is I found the marriage cert. forher and John Henderson Wright. I have not found when she died or where she is buried.
