I would like any help in finding more info about my Irish heritage. The title of the page is my fathers full name. My grandparents immigrated from Ireland to the U.S. in the early 1900's. They met at a dance in the Los Angeles area in California. My paternal grandfather was named John Joseph Finneran. He came from County Of Galway, I believe. One brother of his was Paddy Finneran( wife named Betty), they lived in Ireland. My grandfather was probably born in 1902?. He passed away in 1968 from a stroke in LA, CA. He worked a a police officer for the railroad. He married Nora Josephine Kelly. They had two children, paternal twins, Kathleen & Gary(my dad). Nora was an R.'N. My grandparents met, worked, & lived in Los Angeles,CA. Nora was born in Roscommon County of Ireland. My grandparents lived on Berkley Street in LA. My dad, Gary went to Cathedral High School & college was USC, where he played football the 4 years he was there. He went on to play with the San Diego Chargers & the LA/Oakland Raiders in the early 1960's. He married Shirley Anne Lake on 6/4/60. My parents had 2 kids, me Denise Anne 3/23/61 and Garrett Gregory born 2/1/63. My aunt Kathleen married Joe Cullen, they had six kids and setteled in the Idaho Falls area of Idaho,US.
