My hobby is doing research on my side of the family tree and on the side of my husband Dennis. On my side of the family tree the surnames are included: Allen, Atwell, Gore, Pugh, Collier, Record, Holman and Dickey. On Dennis' side of the tree are: Fine, Paul, Hughes, and Wyrick. There are some others but we haven't undercover them yet.
My branches of the tree seems to have come from Wales and England. They seem to have landed around Virginia then went to different areas such as; Virginia, Indiana, Missouri, Iowa then later they made it to Oklahoma for the land run of 1892. That happened in western Oklahoma where my parents met and married.
Dennis' ancestors seem to have migrated to the colonies also and were located first in what we know as New Jersey, then to Virginia, later Tennessee and finally about 1892 or close to that time we believe his grandfather went to Indian Territory which became Mannsville, Ok. Later Dennis' father moved his young family to Hobart, Ok. where Dennis graduated from High School and attended college at Weatherford, Ok before enlising in the Navy for 4 years.
Dennis and I married while in college and began our teaching career, which continued until 1986 for him and 1993 for me.
We have two children and two granddaughters.
