I have been working on the Family history now since 1998-Now in Nov 2003 it is complete as fas as the Finkbeiner Side is concerned with a few unsolved mysteries remaining. I am still working on other branches-the main one being on my Mother's side the O'Donnells from Ireland and Illinois- then we have my wife's side the Jedrzejas's from Poland and Illinois-then we have at least 8 more branches which include the Kochans, Knotts, Chudnows, Sokolis,Hodges, Jackson,Gildersleeve, and some new ones I am working yet on the Finkbeiner side- I keep finding more cousins, especially as some of the relatives like my Great Uncle George and Uncle George all had large families with a lot of females who end up changing names and they are hard to run down, but that is who I am hearing from now. The computer is a Godsend- without it I'm sure this would take another ten years. I believe Genealogy is here to stay as long as we have the computers, we can gather information so much faster than all the trips to librarys, court houses etc. The book is now nearing completion, only 1 chapter to go plus I am correcting all typing errors on other chapters thus far. I am shooting for a target date of a Chistmas Holiday Publication. I am publising it myself which will be a stiff cover front and rear and binding..with about 300 plus pages. I am also in process of making it as a E-book on CD ROM for those that would prefer the electronic version. I am trying to get both versions out by the holidays, but may be first of year...
