My father was Otho Orby Finley, born at Red Rock, Oklahoma. My
mother"s maiden name was Alice Fay Douglas, born 1888. I have one sister (Ellen) and I had two brothers (Norman and William)
both now deceases. I was born May 30, 1919, at Berlin, Oklahoma.
I have very little knowledge about the Finley family except that
my father had a large number of brothers and sisters, most of whom lived in or nrar Jones, Oklahoma, at one time. My parents seoarated when I was seven years old and I have no information
about my father after that. My maternal grandfather, Joseph Douglas, lived near us both in Oklahoma and in Oskaloosa, Kansas.
I BELIEVE HE WAS LIVING IN THE old SOLDIER'S home at Leavenworth,
Kansas when he died, during WW2. It has always been my understanding that the Douglas family came to the mudwest from South Carolina, after the Civil War. My maternal grandmother's maiden name was Sharp. She died before I was born.
