I am Teresa Finlay, the daughter of Herman William Jones. My paternal grandfather died at a young age and my father knows very little about him and the family history. My grandfather's name was Thomas William Jones and he fathered three sons. DOB: 9/28/1901. Of the three sons, only one is surviving, my father, Herman Jones. The two deceased sons names: Thomas Judson Jones and David Wood "Buddy" Jones.
My paternal grandmother was Frances Wood Jones and was born in Lunenburg, Va., DOB: 5/26/1903. Her family originates from Montreal, Canada and Northamptonshire, England. She was the mother of all three sons and is also deceased.
Due to hardships and medical reasons my grandmother had to release the care of her two youngest sons to extended family members. The eldest remained with her. My father knows little of his ancestors and I would like to find out as much as possible so I can extend the family history for generations to come, as well as the present.
