My family tree comprises the descendants of Clark F. Gerald (1805-1879) and his wife, Sarah "Salley" Creech (1811-1905). They had nine children, and from those nine children have come over 250 descendants. My hope is to search out all of my living relatives and someday call together a grand reunion. Other family surnames prominent in our tree are Creech, Massey, Hinnant and Holland, Phillips and Parker, Pearce and Blackman, with a few Olivers. All of these names are long-time inhabitants and founders all over Johnston County, North Carolina, many even pre-revolutionary. I have done some side-investigating into these families and constructed rudimentary trees for them as they are so attatched to our own family histories. I welcome help and editions from my own family and other "in-laws'" families alike. This has become a keen interest to me, and I have spent many enjoyable hours in research and discovery of my family's history, and that of Johnston County as well. Thank you to all who have joined me and helped out with even the smallest detail of our story. - David Fitzgerald - Great-Great-Great Grandson of Clark and Salley.
