About Our Family Research

I Have just started to research the Fitch name and have two avenues one: I have the name Fitch recorded in Bombay "The First Englishmen in Bombay" in 1586, also Fitch in Essex, 4 sons went to America, main name eventually died out, but as there are still a lot of Fitch's in Essex I could follow this. Or I also have a lead that the Fitch name in England is originally French. The family came to England in the 17th cent as they were Hugonauts and were refugees.
