John Fleming born in Cork,Ire. in 1839, came to America and married Johanna Dwyer in 1863 in Hancock Mich. Johanna Dwyer was probably the sister of John Dwyer. John Dwyer was born in Tipperary,Ire in 1832 to James Dwyer and Johanna Keough Dwyer the second son to go to America to make a way to bring the rest of the family over. The first bother left and was never heard from again.The family was Roman Catholic and at the time the British Government did not allow Catholics public worship services, and Priests would have to hide and teach in the hedgrows or ditches. Johanna was born in 1843 probably in Tipperary as well to James and Johanna Keough Dwyer. John was able to bring over his Parents, his two brothers,one Michael, and three or four sisters who were unnamed in the history in hand. John Fleming married Johanna Dwyer in Hancock Mich. on Jan.30,1863 which is were the Dwyer family brought over from Ireland was living at that time. John Fleming and Johanna D. Fleming had Ten Children the 9th being Alban Ambrose my Grand father. He was born in Hellena Montana? as John Fleming was also a miner like John Dwyer and was working the silver mines in the north west. My Father Allen John the oldest of 8 children born to Alban Ambrose and Julia Early Fleming Was born in Juneau Alaska, were Alban was following in the Family business working the Big Juneau Gold mine. After a bad mining accident the Alban Flemings Moved to Wash. state to raise apples in Winache eastern Wash.
