I am decended from Paternal Grandparents that immigrated from a border location that sometimes was Russia or Romania. My Maternal Grandparents were from Mazzera San Andrea, Catania, Sicily.

My Paternal Grandfather was a farmer in Russia/Romania and worked on the side as a carnival strongman. In NY he worked in the budding film industry of the 1900's for Fox Films. His strength was so great it is said that he killed a man who struck him during an incident of wagon rage with a single slap in teh face.

My fathers sister Eva was a successful playwrite in the 1920's. She live on the left bank of Paris and had an interesting life.

My mother's uncle Guiseppe became a successful businessman who began his career selling lemons fron a sack in the, hostile to Sicilian immigrants, Irish bars of New York Cities Bowery. He invested profits from his produce business in New York City real estate.
