To this Date I have still not found any further information on Ana Laura Sewell (Seul) and her first husband Leslie Smith. The first type of information/documentation is a 1910 Census where she is with her second husbans in Clay Coutny South Dakota stating that she has 7 children and only 2 living. She was born in Canada, her father in England and her mother in New York.
I have found her daughter Myrtle married to Anton Holmes of Sweden, htey died with Pnumonia leaving her to raise her Grandson Frank. I have visited with his (Frank Holmes')wife Margaret, and she says that Anna Laura is buried in the cemetery in Winters, WI. On a visit there, if found but one grave stone that say "Anna - Mother" but no further information I have been able to obtain at this point. I have tried several times to locate the care takers, but have not no further information on this either.
Far as Mary Eveline (Tripp) Snelson, my grandmother's (Rosa May Snelson) we are still finding no trace of her. All we know of any recent information is that while on thier way to Wisconsin in 2 covered wagons, my grand parents (Rosa May and Charles W. Smith) stopped at her sister Bertha's home (Bertha Snelson and Guy Samuel DeSart of South Dakota)she had a recent picture of Mary Eveline, and she had been there to see Bertha. Bertha would give her no information and would not answer. Grandma told this story to us several times before. It always left her quite heart broken.
Please contact me if you have any information on these fmaily members.
