I have tried to research my family history on both sides on and off for a number of year with little success. The sources past the great grandfathers generation are vague and unreliable. Hopefully this site will help fill in the gaps. There is really only one origional family of Folkes in Newfoundland which came from the Little Bay area in Green Bay. My Grandfather (William) came to Grand Falls in the early 1900's and raised a large family which have spread out all over Newfoundland and into the US. If you have any knowledge of the family I would appreciate your comments.
