I am doing research on my husband's family and my family. My husband's father was Michael Joseph Foley (b. November 1918; d. March 1971) of Philadelphia who married Dorothy May Hodum (b. September 1921; d. October 1990) of Philadelphia. Michael J. Foley's father, William (b. December 1880; died March 1947) came from Waterford, Ireland; his wife's name was Mary McKay,(b May 1889; d. July 1969) also of Ireland. Dorothy Hodum's father was Harry W. Hodum (b. 1896; d. November 1928 of Philadelphia; his wife was Florence Wiegand (b. March 1899; d. July 1988) of Hazleton, PA. Forence Wiegand's father was Christian Wiegand (b. 1857; d. June 1926) of Jeanesville, PA who married Margaret Christian (b. 1859; d. 1948) of Hazleton, PA on December 25, 1880. My father was James Patrick McCuen (b. March 1928; d. May 1987)of Philadelphia who married Sarah (aka Betty) Gallagher, (b. August 1929; d. April 1987) of Philadelphia. James McCuen's father was James P. McCuen, Sr. (b. January 1907; d. October 1962), son of James P. McCuen (b. October 1887; d. April 1915)and Mary Kelly (b. March 1888; d. September 1966)of Philadelphia; his wife was Bertha Hill, (b. September 1906; d. July 1967), daughter of Wallace Hill (b May 1879; d. November 1962)of Philadelphia and Bertha Porch (b. August 1879; d.October 1918)of Woodbury, NJ. Betty Gallagher (one of sixteen children) was the daughter of Neoma Bricker,(b. 1904; d. January 1963)who was the daughter of Norman Bricker (b. September 1881; d. December 1958)of Lancaster, PA and Sarah O'Neill who was born in Ireland in February 1885 and died March 1951; and Patrick John Gallagher (b. 1902; d. November 1967), son of Edward Gallagher (b. April 1871; d. December 1960) and Bridget O'Donnell (b. January 1865; d. March 1950) both born in Donegal, Ireland. |
