Corrina Marie Meyer Gallagher and Patrick, Anthony and Thomas Gallagher

Corrina Marie Meyer Gallagher -- A daughter, sister, mother.

Corrina was born June 13, 1963, in Anchorage, Alaska, to Lawrence and Vivian
Meyer, who then moved to Whitefish in 1966. She attended school there until she graduated in 1981. She joined the Army in 1982 where she met and married Pat Gallagher. Together, they had three boys: Patrick, Anthony, and Tommy. Corrinaand the boys moved to Lolo in the fall of 1999.

Corrina died along with her boys in a car accident on May 26,2000. Corrina had
a huge zest for life and loved enjoying the outdoors and her weekends spent with all her family in Whitefish playing cards, fishing and camping. Corrina was always there to give, love and listen, and she always had a smile. She came from a very close knit family who is going to miss her so very, very
much.

Corrina is survived by her mom and dad; one brother Luke Meyer and wife Lisa, and sons Tim and Cody; three sisters: Deena Stein and husband John and daughters Stephanie and Hailey; Julie Laroque and husband Toby and son Ryan;Sherry Bradstreet and husband Scott and daughter Marriah and son Brett.

The boys had three uncles: Bobby Gallagher and wife Sue and daughter Kelly, Uncle Johnny Gallagher, and Uncle Joey Gallagher; three aunts: Aunt Barbara Gallagher and son Raymond and daughters Nikki and Genie; Aunt Joyce with daughters Patricia and Yasmine, and sons Matthew and William; and Aunt Ella Gallagher; all of whom are from Philadelphia. Corrina's grandparents Jerry and
Ella King in North Dakota, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Plus a special friend in her husband, Pat.

Patrick Keith Gallagher, 14, was born June 30, 1985, in Philadelphia.

Anthony Michael Gallagher, 10, was born September 4, 1989, in Philadelphia.

Thomas Gregory Gallagher, 8, born September 3, 1991, in Philadelphia.

Corrina, Pat and their three boys moved to Montana in November of 1991. The boys loved the outdoors, camping and fishing, and they were just learning to hunt.

Patrick loved to work on the computer, play games, and listen to music, plus he loved to wrestle and argue. Anthony was a natural genius. He was a great student and loved to show everyone that he was smarter than them. And, then there was Tommy. He was a nature nut, a real life Huckleberry Finn. He really loved the outdoors.

We all love these boys so very, very, very much. It's tearingour hearts out to let them go, but we realize they were only on loan from God to put some happiness in our lives. God Bless You All! Our lives are so special because they've been touched by you! We Love You!

Graveside services were held at Glacier Memorial Cemetery Wednesday, May 31, at 2 p.m.

The family offered this poem:

The Loan

"I'll lend you for a little time, a child of mine," God said. "For you to love the while he lives, and mourn for when he's dead. It may be six or seven years, or twenty-two or three, but will you, 'til I call him back, take care of him for me.

He'll bring his charms to gladden you, and shall his stay be brief, you'll have his lovely memories, as solace for your grief. I cannot promise he will stay, since a from earth return, but there are lessons taught down there, I want this child to learn.

I've looked the wide world over, in my search for teachers true and from the crowds that throng life's lanes, selected you. How will you give him all your love, nor think the labor vain, nor hate me when I come to take him back again?

U.S. 93 FATALITY
Fiery crash kills 5 near
Kalispell

KALISPELL (AP) – Authorities on Saturday
identified the five people killed in a
two-vehicle crash on U.S. 93 about six miles
north of here.

Corrina Gallagher, 36, of Lolo, and her three
sons, Patrick, 14, Anthony, 10, and Thomas,
8, were killed when a 1984 Chevrolet pickup
truck traveling south lost control and weaved
across the highway.

The driver of the truck, 25-year-old Kelly
Randles of Kalispell, also was killed.

Flathead County Sheriff Jim Dupont said
Gallagher was northbound to her parents’
house near Whitefish. Dupont said Gallagher
tried to avoid the truck, but her passenger
van was struck head-on. Both vehicles
landed on their tops and burst into flames.

Officials said the crash was reported at 9:20
p.m. Friday. The Highway Patrol said holiday
traffic was limited to one-way on the two-lane
route for nearly three hours.

The deaths pushed the Montana highway
fatality count for this year to 83, compared
with 77 on May 27, 1999.

“I got there right after it happened,” said Tom
Mattheisen of Happy Valley. “By the time I
pulled over, they were all in flames. You
couldn’t get near them.”

The fire appeared to start between the two
vehicles. It quickly engulfed the car, then the
truck, Mattheisen said. Within minutes, the
gas tank on the truck exploded, shooting
flames high into the air.

West Valley fire-rescue had 10 volunteers on
the scene to control the fire.

“The fire was really going when we got here,”
said Fire Chief Rod Dresbach. “We had two
lines on it.... It really took off when the gas
tank on the pickup ruptured and exploded.”

Randles had been thrown out of the truck,
which landed on top of him. Gallagher and
her sons remained in the car.

Identification of the victims was hampered
because the bodies were burned beyond
recognition.
