About Our Family Research


Since retirement in 2001, I have found the time to explore my family's history. I have just started gathering information on my family, the Newmans and the Lartigues. Lee has detailed information on his family, the Foleys and the Landrys, but we have not combined this information. We have a trip to Ireland planned in August, 2002 and hope to discover where our families actually came from in Ireland. Later we want to do the same for France, as we both have ancestors from France.

One branch of the Foley Family has reunions periodically, primarily in south Louisiana.
