I have been researching my family tree for over 15 years now.
Most of my family comes from Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, and Missouri. The main surnames in my family are as follows (listing the oldest members that I have so far)

**This is where my Cherokee heritage comes in to play. I would love to research my Cherokee roots, however the papertrail is small and hard to follow. This is my "difficult" branch to trace. :-)
Frensley
Charles Alfred Frensley married to Lucinda Lark
Hoffman/ Huffman/ Hoofman
Jacob Hoofman married to Mildred Turner
**The Hoffman name is a little hard to keep track of simple because the spelling has changed over the years. There are three spellings right now that I know of. The reasons for the changes I do not know, nor have I really tracked down when the changes happened. So most of my tree will have the Hoffman spelling until I have documents to show me otherwise. :-)
McCord/MacCorde/MacKorda/MacKord
James Duncan MacKorda married to Jean?
James is believed to be the Highland Chief of the MacKorda Clan on the Isle of Skye on the west coast of Scotland. James was killed in the Battle of Killiecrankie Pass, Perthshire Scotland in 1689, during the great charge by the Highlanders.
