Iafrate & misspelled Yafrate & Wager of East Bridgewater, MA

Updated May 10, 2009

About Our Family Research

I have had the hardest time finding my family history due to Ellis Island misspelling of Iafrate to Yafrate. My grandma is from East Bridgewater, MA. She grew up on a farm that no longer exists. According to her, her father came to the US in 1917 from Naples. His name was Andrea(s?) and her mother's name was Filomena. One brother named Frankie designed the Navy's SeaBee's Logo. Another is MIA status from the Korean War named Raymond Andrew Yafrate. I know I could order records and such, but that is expensive and I'm afraid I might not have enough info. But I also want to find relatives from US and Italy and general family history. My grandfather was Robert Anthony Wager and I know he was a big time football and baseball player for East Bridgewater High. He passed away way before I was born, I still would love to find and get to know his family.
