John Waldo (son of Cornelius Waldo, Deacon and Hannah Cogswell)257, 258 was born 1654 in Ipswich, Essex Co, MA258, and died April 14, 1700 in Canterbury, Windham, CT.258.

John and Rebecca had 8 children; Edward married Mary Paine, then Thankful Dimmock, Rebecca, John, Catherine, Revecca, Ruth, Sarah, & Abigail.

He Is Called One Of The First Settlers Of Dunstable, MA. And Served Under Captain Wheeler, In King Philps War, And Was Wounded At The Battle Of Quaboag 2 Aug. 1675. He Afterwards Served At Groton Garrison. In 1682 He And His Brother Daniel, Were Employed As Mounted Guards In Dunstable, MA. He Also Represented This Town In 1689.
John Owned A Grist Mill, In Dunstable. He Later (1697-1698) Moved To Windham, CT. He Died There 14 Apr 1700.
He Married, 1676-1677, Rebecca Adams, Daughter Of Henry And Rebecca Graves. She Survived Him And Married Decon Brown, Of Canterbury, CT, 26 Apr 1710. She Died 17 Sep 1727, In Canterbury.
