My tree is growing rapidly in places and dying tragically in others. While I have enjoyed tremendous success in tracing my wife's Bartlett lineage(at least to Thomas Bartlett I (d. 1581 England), I have been unable to catch the thread of her Louisiana Stoute/Meyers/Prejean root from her mother. I have met with far more difficulty with my own roots. My search for any connection of ancestors has been thwarted on all fronts. I have had little success with the Gray/Craig lines in Nelson County, Virginia. My Parker/Taylor search of the Cheraw, South Carolina area has been fruitless. And I cannot get passed my grandfather with my Sellers/Foy lines in Wilmington, NC/SC. But I will continue the search and if you find me at your favorite website at 3 AM curled up and drooling on the Census Volume you need, just grab it and turn out the light.....
