Esom D. Franklin according to census record was born in Va. in 1770. He is listed on several census records in Ga. and newspaper articles of that time. He was appointed as Justice of the Peace
in 1836 in Baldwin County. He bought property in 1800 in Baldwin County. He was in the war of 1812.
He married Martha Ann Talbert, July 19, 1809 in Baldwin County,Ga. They had seven children. Their names are

Martha Ann died in 1832 and Esom remarried Lydia Sutton.
Their children were Leonidas,Cicero D,Martha Ann and Thomas Jefferson.
Esom Died in 1842 I think in Early County Ga.
Benjamin D and Sara Bell had eight children
John Esom,Buck,Mary,Milinda,Francis Marion,Benjamin,Henry and Frank. My line is Francis Marion who married Frances Parlee Patterson and they had ten children.Sara Elizabeth,Milinda Tildon,Queeny L, James Buck,Francis Henry,Sam Trasivan,Alex,Arthur DeKalb,John Esom, and Roy Irvin.
Roy Franklin married Lucille Irene Byrom and they had three children. Roy Gene(died in WW2) Fred Irvin and George Clayton.
I do not know where Esom D. died or where he is buried. I do not know where Benjamin is buried but he was living in Longview Miss. when he died. His Wife Sara Bell is buried in Ashland Cem. in Ashland Miss. with the inscription" Sara B. Franklin wife of Capt. B.D Franklin died April 15,1898 age 68 years.
Esom D. Franklin's Father was Philemon Franklin who married Sara Davenport. Philemon's father was William Franklin Jr. who was married to Mary. William Jr's father was William Sr. who was married to Sara Rebecca Boone. My DNA matches a decendant of William Jr so I am reasonably sure of that relationship. I have been told that William Sr's father was Edward, but I have no proof.
