Family research of the Frizzell side of the family has been ddone quite thoroughly but I would like to research the Irish side of my family. So far I have not had much success in getting pertinent details. The O'Donnell side of my family came from County Donegal as did the Neeleys. When in Dublin I was able to get a photocopy of the birth certificate of my grandfather's brother but there was no information about my grandfather or his older sister. It is possible that their births were not registered but I hope that this does not mean a deadend as far as the research goes. On my father's side of the family his mother's maiden name was Haddock and she married a John Downing at the end of the 1800's or the beginning of the twentieth century. When he died(?)sshe married a William McCarthy. They had a daughter, Violet, born 1917 and a son, William, born 1914. The daughter married a Paddy Coyle from Kilmacrenan. They ,too, had a son, Patrick, and a daughter, Geraldine. Violet died in 1969 and her brother, William, was killed in the war in 1940. I lost contact with this side of the family.
