I am a great grandson of Merritt and Grace (Wolle) Cressman and William and Theresa (Stangl) Friedman. According to the obituary, William was born 6/21/1872 in Austria and came to the USA as a young man. He was a Bethlehem, PA city police officer assigned to the traffic division. He spoke 7 languages and served as an interpreter in court hearings. He had three children; Joseph, Edward and Julia. William died 2/21/1946. He was 73. Theresas obituary reads she was born in Austria-Hungary on 9/19/1880. She had two sisters; Mrs. John Wilgruber and Mrs. Robert Guggy of Allentown, PA. Theresa died 12/27/1946. She was 66. I am a grandson of Joseph and Ethel (Cressman) Friedman, both born in Bethlehem, PA. and both are deceased. They had one child Robert, my father, born in 1931. My father married Joan (Dickert) and they have 4 children, 3 boys and a girl. I am looking to expand our family tree.
