Our parents met and married in San Luis Obispo, California, in the 40's. Dad was stationed at Camp San Luis and recuperating from appendix surgery and Mom was working in the PX at the camp when they met. We have traced the Lewis/Carver roots back to North Carolina and Wales, and the Tillman/Graeve family to Iowa, Missouri and Germany. In 2003 we visited Iowa and spent hours looking up births, deaths, marriages and cemetaries in and around Earling in Grundy County.
As our tree branches out we decided it was time to publish the information we have gathered. I hope all of the descendents of our ancestors enjoy reading our family story and will keep current the family tree.
