The Frith Family Tree

Updated October 16, 2007

About Our Family Research

"Frith, Firth. - local, 'At the frith' or 'firth' q.v., a bay, an estuary, a wide valley, as in Chapel-le-frith, co. Derbyshire.
Both Firth and Frith are familiar patronymics, but the dictionary use in confined to the poets."

I am researching into the Friths (of Lincolnshire). So far I have managed to get back to around 1800. I have found what is potentially a generation further back but as yet can not prove it. Until I am able to visit the Lincoln archive centre this is about as far back as I can go. So now I will start spreading outwards!
