I am researching my ancesters to get to know them, even though they are not with us any more. I have found some of them, a few with stories behind them. I am looking forward to finding the rest of the story. They are... our roots.
I am also including a decendents tree. They are the future, whose lives are affected by the past, which will shape the future of their lives. May they live by our ancesters wisdom, for they are... our wings.
Michael Andreus immigrated from Europe. His name (first or last or both) may have been spelled differently than what he used here in this country. He settled in Uniontown, PA. He owned two mercantile and meat market stores. He ran one store daily and his oldest son, Frank ran the other. One day, in Feb. 1922, Michael Andrues store as robbed and he was fatally wounded. He died 3 days later. The police are believed to have gotten 2 robbers, and they were put in prison for a long time. Any one in the Uniontown area, it would be greatly appreciated if the newspaper articles could be located and e-mailed to me.
