Jacob Fry is the son of Peter Frey/Fry and Susannah Seek, born 01 July 1825 in Greene County, Tennessee. He married Margaret Jane Edmonds on 06 May 1845 in Greene County, Tennessee. She is the daughter of William Edmonds and Hannah Hamlin, born 1823 in Greene County, Tennessee. Jacob moved his family to Polk County, Tennessee where he worked as a carpenter, farmer, and raised (6) six children: Jonathan F. Fry born 1846; Joel/Joseph M. Fry born Dec 1847; Peter M. Fry born Oct 1849; Mary Ann Fry born 1852; Martha Jane Fry born Sept 1853; and Sarah M. Fry born 1856, all born in Polk County, Tennessee. Rev. Jacob Fry and family moved to Piney Twp, Texas County, Missouri in the year 1858 with other Fry family members. Jacob joined the locate Methodist church and was ordain to marry couples in Missouri. As he rode the church circuit. His first wife died about 1862 and he married a local young woman named Mary Jane about 1864. She was born on Sept 1844 in Missouri. Rev Jacob and Mary Jane Fry lived in the Northeast portion of Texas County and Northwest portion of Dent County as Jacob made a living at carpentry, and farming. They had (4) four children: William G. Fry born 1865; Sophronia Elizabeth Fry born 1867; Columbus D. Fry born 1870; and Edward Marvin Fry born 03 Oct 1878, all in Missouri. In 1893 Jacob moved his family to Cave City, Sharp County, Arkansas where he sat up local churches, carpentry shop, farming, and local politics. The Fry Farm was located a couple of miles west of town and Rev Jacob Fry had the Palestine Church moved and a cemetery platted out. Jacob died on 21 May 1897 and was buried in the Palestine Cemetery.
