The Alexander Hale family moved from Tennessee to Missouri and appeared in the Greene County 1840 census. Alexander's wife was Louisa (unknown maiden name) from Smith County,TN. In the same census is Reuben Hale (b.1800TN) who may(?) be Alexander's father, since Alex was born in 1821TN. In the census, there is no wife listed for Reuben but he does have children. I suppose she is deceased. Reuben and Alexander may have been from East Tennessee and may(???)have belonged to the Baltimore(George and Nicholas) Hale family of the 1600's. MAYBE...MAYBE!!
