The research of my paternal line has reached back to the mid 19th century Northampton County North Carolina. Carter Futrell, my Great Great Grandfather was born in Northampton County, North Carolina in 1854. I'm not sure how or why he moved during his life from North Carolina to Madison County Tennessee. By young adulthood he had married Coley Ann Rowlett(e). Together they had seven children (E Alvin, Reat,Annie, Emma, Lally, Myrtle,and Bertha).The line that I belong to is from Reat. Reat grew up in Murray-Calloway County Kentucky. During his young adult years, Reat moved from Calloway County Kentucky to Terre Haute Indiana. Eventually he moved to Toledo Ohio area (Ottawa Lake Michigan)where he was laid to rest 1968.
